Mass IDEAS Awards First Implementation Grants to Teams from Across Massachusetts

Mass IDEAS (Innovating Design in Education for All Students) is excited to announce our first cohort of implementation grantees, teams that are redesigning public schools across Massachusetts. The grantees include:

The grantees were selected from teams seeking support to implement whole-school redesigns that they developed as part of Mass IDEAS’ first planning grant cohort. The teams’ selection comes at the culmination of a competitive Request for Learning process that included a three-part application and a team interview. This grant opportunity is one component of Mass IDEAS’ broader strategy to catalyze high-quality, innovative learning experiences that all of the Commonwealth’s students need to thrive in the 21st century.

Mass IDEAS believes strongly that it is the combination of collaborative teams, community engagement, grant funding, and support that allows for the effective implementation of redesigned public schools. The new grants of up to $375,000 per team, combined with professional learning and coaching from Mass IDEAS, will work in tandem to promote effective school model implementation. Generous funding for these grants was provided by the Barr and Nellie Mae Education Foundations. Mass IDEAS continues to appreciate both foundations’ support of this critical work across the Commonwealth.

Mass IDEAS (Innovating Design in Education for All Students) is an initiative of Next Generation Learning Challenges. Mass IDEAS equips communities across Massachusetts with the tools and resources they need to rethink their public schools. More information about Mass IDEAS is available at https://massideas.org/.
